The Jacuzzi is open from June to September
The perfect place to enjoy the sunset; the magical moment of twilight, suspended between the light of the day and the shadows of the evening.
This is Terrazza Mattuiani, a place of slow emotions and …. senses. High up on the fifth floor, it is the perfect spot to relax and let time drift by. There is a cosy little corner where you can enjoy the Jacuzzi and then stretch out on a sunlounger waiting for the sunset (the Jacuzzi is open only during the summer and, depending on the category of the booked room, may be subject to a surcharge).
Terrazza Mattuiani is a place where you can sunbathe and have a refreshing soft drink or an aperitivo (the magic Italian word that combines fabulous wine with great food).
Food:Our Parmigiano, ricotta and many other products come from the Caseificio di Rosola dairy farm. We choose wheels of cheese that have been matured for at least 24 months, which helps avoid lactose intolerance and ensures a top quality natural product.
Our tigelle – a local speciality flatbread – are hand-made by our friend Fabio who, in spite of our begging, refuses to reveal the ingredients of his secret recipe.
Our vegetables come every day from a nearby farm on the hills of Monteveglio, a little village just outside Bologna.
The salt we use is the “sweet” salt of Cervia, which is a local product protected by Slow Food’s presidium food label.
Wine: We take great pride in offering you a selection of wines that we daily drink ourselves. So you will find only wines from genuine producers who deeply care about their products. We want you to drink good quality wines so we offer you organic or naturally produced wines. Among the best-known ones we offer you can find FossMarai, an excellent BellaVista, Berlucchi, Walch, and Masseria San Marzano.
We know we can’t be exhaustive but we want to be proactive. As we always say, we are not looking for stars, we are happy just to gaze at them from our terrace. And when the night falls, our greatest joy is to see you returning to your room with a smile on your face after a perfect evening.
